Early mornings with the Lord

Thank YOU GOD for calling me awake, and drawing me to YOU – early in the mornings.

There are times that I don’t get up when first called.

When I dawdle to get here.

I don’t mean to – but I do.

Sometimes I think my humanity realizes the result of “plugging in” 😉

YOU change my heart.

My mind.

My life.

And all about me.

YOU change my perspective.

YOU change my desires.

I want that change.

But my humanity doesn’t always.

These early mornings with YOU are so Blessed – while others sleep, before chaos calls, in the stillness and quietness of dark’s last hours . . . Thank YOU GOD . . .

YOU renew my strength.

YOU saturate me with YOUR Peace.

YOU have awakened in me a strong desire to know YOU, to believe and trust YOU, to walk and talk with YOU, to live my life in Honor to YOU . . .

I struggle with the “how-to” 😉 – probably more than I should.

How do I stop trying so hard to not try so hard?

Is this time with YOU more for enjoyment than understanding?

Is that the way of this life with YOU now?

LORD, help me to think on everything that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable.

And as I do – may YOUR Light shine brighter on me, in me, and through me.

: Isaiah 40:31 – but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

• Thank YOU GOD for this Promise.

: Psalm 27:4 – One thing I have asked of the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.

• Yes, LORD, yes. Teach me how – even now.

: Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

• LORD, help me to use this as a ruler of what I do, where I go, who I spend time with.
