My humanity, UGH

LORD, please – renew my mind.

When my thoughts are free to roam and wander, they move more to the problems of my life, the struggles and trials – past, present and future.

And like a bulldog – I have the hardest time letting go.

If I am not gnawing on a trouble or trial, it is gnawing at me.

My energies are drained, sapped, so easily these days.

It’s so easy to lose sight of YOU.

My humanity gets in the way so much more than I want it to!

LORD, please – renew my mind to be YOUR Presence focused.

To know that YOU are with me.

In every trial, every struggle – YOU are with me.

Even when I cannot be in time with YOU, YOU are with me.

LORD, please – teach me to train my mind in seeking YOU.

Seeking YOU every moment, every situation.

And to be constantly aware of YOUR Presence – whether in moments of nature, a sweet word from someone, a hug that wraps me.

Or in those precious moments where it’s just YOU and me – in my heart, quiet and still, or out loud as I cry out to YOU.

LORD, I find myself talking more and more out loud to YOU 😉

And in those times, feeling YOU stronger present, even with my humanity.

Thank YOU for those times.

GOD, I need YOU . . . more.

: Romans 12:1-2 – I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

• Here I am GOD, just as I am. Please, help me obey these words.

: Hebrews 3:1-2 – Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, who was faithful to Him Who appointed Him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God’s house.

• GOD, please help me keep my eyes on JESUS – that the things of this world will grow strangely dim, in the Light of His Glory & Grace.

: Psalm 105:4 – Seek the Lord and His Strength; seek His Presence continually!

• LORD, I seek YOU. Trusting YOU.
