LORD, I love YOU!!!!!
It’s easy to get sucked off into the vacuum of self-pity.
When I don’t feel my best, when things don’t go my way.
When I don’t have what I want.
When life just sucks.
Please, guard me and keep me from the wallows of self-pity.
Teach me how to not get so close to the crumbling edge.
LORD, help me to live with an attitude of gratitude – to count my Blessings from YOU.
Even if . . . even if the healing doesn’t come, YOU are GOD, and YOU are good!!!!!
Nothing changes Who YOU are . . .
I find myself praying that old song more and more – Turn my eyes on JESUS, to look full into HIS Wonderful Face. That the things of this earth will grow strangely dim, in the Light of HIS Glory and Grace.
: Psalm 89:15-16 – Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the Light of Your Face, who exult in Your Name all the day and in Your Righteousness are exalted.
- LORD, may my heart and spirit always be praising YOU, regardless of what my hands and mind are needing to do.
: Hebrews 12:1-2 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the Founder and Perfecter of our Faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the Right Hand of the Throne of God.
- Long these 2 verses have been my favorites. The older I get, the more life I endure – the more favorite they become. Thank YOU for them. Thank YOU for the Truth in them. Thank YOU GOD . . .
- LORD, help me to remember that Rick is there with YOU, and both of Y'all are cheering me on.
