LORD, it’s hard to be alone.
The silence is so loud at times that it hurts my ears.
The emptiness is so overwhelming that I often lose my breath.
My humanity cries out against it all – even as my spirit cries out to YOU.
LORD, I need YOUR Presence.
In the silence.
In the emptiness.
In the aloneness.
I need YOU.
I am more aware of my limitations, and those of others, than I want to be – in ways I think it would be better not to be so very aware.
YOU have promised that nothing can separate me from YOUR Love.
And since YOU are Love – nothing can separate me from YOU.
There may come a time when I understand more clearly, but that day isn’t today.
So, in this time of not understanding, please LORD – hold my hand.
Lead me where YOU want me to go.
Help me do the next thing today – whatever is in front of me.
May my life somehow Honor YOU, Please YOU.
YOUR Grace, YOUR Love, YOUR Presence – is enough.
In JESUS’ NAME I cry out . . .
: I Corinthians 13:12 – For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to Face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
- LORD, YOU know patience is not one of my virtues ๐ Please, help me in seeing dimly, and in not knowing.
: Ephesians 3:16-19 – For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His Glory He may grant you to be strengthened with Power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – that you, being rooted and grounded in Love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breath and length and height and depth, and to know the Love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the Power at work within us, to Him be Glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
- GOD, help me just breathe these Words of Life . . .
