LORD, when I am afraid, I trust in YOU . . .
And these days?
When am I not afraid?
In every area of my life, in this world, there is something to be afraid of.
I’ve never known fear like I have since being a widow.
The intense feelings of being vulnerable, exposed.
The fear of being lost, and yet that fear of being “found”, too.
It’s a strange walk, GOD . . .
And just about the time I think I could not feel more alone – well, I feel MORE alone.
More empty.
More lost.
More wandering.
I hear myself crying out to YOU . . . more and more.
Sometimes softly.
Sometimes with urgency.
Sometimes out of exasperation and frustration.
Mostly, cause I don’t know what else to do.
Please DEAR GOD . . . hear my cries.
And help me today.
: Isaiah 26:4 – Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an Everlasting Rock.
- LORD, it’s all I can do.
: Psalm 9:10 – And those who know Your Name put their trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek YOU.
- Thank YOU GOD . . . Thank YOU!!!!!
: Psalm 25:4-5 – Make me to know Your Ways, O Lord; teach me Your Paths. Lead me in Your Truth and teach me, for You are the God of my Salvation; for You I will wait all the day long.
- LORD, please. The cries of my soul and heart.
: Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
- Yes, LORD, please. Thank YOU . . .
