Walking Behind

LORD, only YOU know how much I love our kids, our grandkids, our great-grandkids, and those entwined with each.

LORD, only YOU know the joy they bring to my soul, and the ache to my heart.

LORD, only YOU know how hard it is to do this whole “walk behind” thing of this season in life.

All I can do is trust them to YOU . . .

Pray for YOUR protective care over and about them.

I know in the very depths of my being that YOU Love them so much more than I do, or than I ever can.

As well as that YOU are Able, and Proven, to take better care of them than what I can.

But still, GOD . . . they are my babies.

I have never wanted to hold them as an idol of my heart or life.

Never wanted to choose favor for one over the other.

I love them all equally.

The outward expression of our lives are different.

But my heart – O GOD, my heart loves them all the same, so much!

Please DEAR GOD, go with them wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they are with.

Give to them rest, healing, Blessings greater than what I could ever imagine for them.

And LORD, give me Peace.

That YOU got them.

: Genesis 37:3-4 – Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his sons, because he was the son of his old age. And he made him a robe of many colors. But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peacefully to him.

• LORD, please. Keep my heart full of love for all – equally. And if there is anything I have ever said or done to cause one to be against the other, GOD forgive me!

: Ephesians 3:20-21 – Now to Him Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the Power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

: Exodus 33:14 – And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

• We all need REST. Sigh.
