Just to be quiet

LORD, chaos calls.

A day of busy-ness and preparations.

A week of working, going, doing, being.

Worries and fears that nag at my mind and pull at my heart.

Burdens and concerns that weigh heavy upon my shoulders.

What-if’s that poke and prod me.

Even-if’s that scare me.

And GOD, here I am – just as I am.

Trying to find that “just breathe” moment

Knowing that the struggle is all too real.

Already fighting the 2nd guessings and overthinkings.

LORD, help me to sit quietly in YOUR Presence.

Place YOUR Hand upon my head and BLESS me please.

BLESS our children, our grandchildren, our great-grandchildren, and those who are entwined with them.

LORD, when chaos calls, and the waters are troubled all around me – how do I still my mind and heart?

How do I know which thoughts YOU are dropping into me?

YOUR WORD says that YOU are not a GOD of confusion, but of Peace.

And that YOU do not give us fear, but a sound mind.

Rick always said “go where the Peace is”, and if there is no Peace, then don’t go 😉

LORD, Help me know YOUR Peace.

Just to breathe.

Just to be.

YOU are not in a hurry.

YOU do not wring YOUR Hands in worry.

YOU are not burdened like this.

Help me to remember that I am YOURS . . . and YOU got this 😉

: Psalm 37:7 – Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

  • LORD, help me be still. It’s a hard thing to do 😉

: Romans 8:16-17 – The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.

  • LORD, help me to remember that I am YOURS . . .

: I Peter 2:9 – But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His Own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him Who called you out of darkness into His Marvelous Light.

  • LORD . . .
