Lessons

LORD . . . lessons are not always easy to hear, or to learn.

And they are not easy to live, either.

Thank YOU GOD for YOUR patience and kindness to me, with me.

Thank YOU GOD for understanding me so completely.

My heart and soul long to walk with YOU, to talk with YOU, and to please YOU with my life.

In these times of stillness and quietness – it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

By thoughts and emotions.

By 2nd guessings and overthinkings.

By the alone-ness.

LORD, help me in these times to seek YOU . . . To use these times for that intimate relationship with YOU . . .

GOD, I have always felt a certain difference from others.

Do we all feel that difference?

There are times that it has frightened me, and still does more often than what I want to admit.

I pray that YOU, LORD, will lead me and develop whatever YOU are working on in me, through me, and for me.

The older I get, and the more closely I feel to YOU, the less I desire to please others.

But that pleasing others is so deeply ingrained that it’s hard to let go of – please, Help me.

LORD, as I walk and talk with YOU, I pray that YOU will BLESS those in my life – by YOUR Light shining brightly through my own darkness, into theirs.

: Psalm 42:1-2 – As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the Living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

  • One of Rick’s favorite songs. Thank YOU GOD . . . just for understanding what I need, and when. As well as how 😉

: Psalm 34:5 – Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

  • O LORD, shine in me. through me. For YOU . . .

: Philippians 2:14-16 – Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.

  • LORD, help me do this. Today.
