Father . . .

LORD . . . GOD . . .

YOU are ABBA FATHER . . .

Open my ears to hear YOUR Voice above all the noises and clamoring of this world and life.

Help me not to just hear YOUR Voice, either.

BUT to listen.

Teach me how to be this child of the Everlasting KING . . .

It’s easy to feel guilty for pushing back against the duties of the day to spend time alone with YOU . . .

It’s a struggle to keep my mind focused on YOU . . .

Distractions are many, insistent and loud . . .

Especially when sleep, or is it laziness, that has me up later in the mornings than what it feels like I ought to be.

As a widow I struggle for Peace.

For permission.

And for forgiveness.

Just to know what to do, and where to be.

To know HOW.

It’s difficult to live this life alone, and not hold time or space.

Not wait for others.

Not seek time with others.

LORD, help me to seek time with YOU . . .

: Isaiah 9:6 – For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His Shoulder, and His Name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

  • I want to know YOU as YOU are . . . GOD

: Zechariah 9:9 – Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; Righteous and having Salvation is He, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

  • As YOUR daughter, welcome . . .

: Romans 8:15-16 – For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by Whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.

  • I am a child of GOD . . . LORD, help me live as one.

: Exodus 3:5 – Then He said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is Holy Ground.”

  • LORD, may I be very aware of where I stand. With YOU . . .
