For today

LORD, whether I get up early, or later, it’s hard for me to not spend time with YOU as I drink the coffee.

But after the coffee, it’s hard to be still and be quiet, just breathe.

After pouring my heart and soul out to YOU, after reading YOUR Word for the day, there is that in me that feels the anxiousness of the day and the hour – that my feet must hit the floor in running mode.

How do I go through the day resting in YOUR Presence, even while working, doing what needs done, spending times with others?

How do I let go and let YOU have charge of this day?

What I do, where I go, who I spend time with?

How do I walk purposefully with YOU, and let YOU direct my course, one step at a time?

Please, open my eyes to see YOUR Blessings along the way today, and open my heart with the attitude of gratitude – to take those Blessings and turn them back to YOU in praise and thanksgiving.

LORD, this day and all that comes with it, including me – is YOURS . . . please, help me live it.

In JESUS’ NAME I ask . . .

: Matthew 11:25-28 – At that time Jesus declared, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was Your gracious will. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
