Just Today . . .

Published on 25 July 2024 at 07:34

LORD, I wonder if it is this way for everyone, or more so for widows/widowers – or is this more just me being too much me?

Worrying and fretting about my tomorrows.

My health.

The car.

Where I live, what I do.

The people in my life – and my relationships with each one.

Money.

Stuff.

My heart tells me that YOUR Word is true, I can’t add an hour to my life by worrying.

And yet, my mind gnaws at all this like a dog with a bone – growling at the thought or mention of letting go.

How do I do TODAY?

Just today.

One breath at a time.

One heartbeat at a time.

One moment at a time.

GOD, I cannot do this without YOU – it’s hard enough with YOU! 😉

Please, help me carry my cross TODAY . . . leaving the past where it lies, and leaving tomorrow – until tomorrow.

In JESUS’ NAME I ask . . .

: Psalm 84:12 – O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the one who trusts in You!

  • LORD, I want so much to be Blessed! Please, help me know how to trust in YOU!!!!!

: I Corinthians 6:19-20 – Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, Whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

  • LORD, how do I glorify YOU in this body? Spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.

: Jeremiah 17:7 – Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.

  • LORD, I want so much to trust in YOU. And to have YOU as my Trust.

: Matthew 6:33-34 – But seek first the kingdom of God, and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

  • LORD, help me trust and OBEY.

In JESUS’ NAME I ask . . .
