LORD, this is one of those days when my humanity needs to hear YOUR Voice singing over me.
When my humanity aches to smell YOUR coffee and sugar cookies – still thinking that’s what YOU smell like 😉 When my humanity hurts, is so weary and worn, as well as overwhelmed.
The voices of this world, this life, are not just tugging at me today.
No, they are screaming at me.
Raging against me.
Even though I sit here alone.
The voices are so loud!
How do I be still and be quiet?
That I may know YOUR Voice.
JESUS said that He was the Good Shepherd, and that His sheep knew His Voice – and they followed Him.
LORD, I ask that YOU will open my ears to YOUR Voice.
Open my eyes to see the next step YOU have for me.
LORD, I ask that YOU will show me how to find, and take, that mini-break from the world’s noises, be still, just breathe and be a moment.
: Zephaniah 3:17 – The Lord your God is in your midst, a Mighty One Who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His Love; He will exult over you with loud singing.
- Please Dear LORD our GOD, please. I need to hear YOUR Voice.
: Matthew 17:5 – He was still speaking, when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a Voice from the cloud said, “This is My Beloved Son, with Whom I AM well pleased; listen to Him.”
- I want YOU to be so pleased with me that YOU stand and say, “That’s MY child!”
: Matthew 7:7 – Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- LORD, I am asking, seeking, and knocking. Please show me how though – so that it will be given, so that I will find, and so that it will be opened to me. GOD, I need YOU . . . please.
