God, You are . . .

LORD GOD, YOU are the Risen One.

YOUR Light shines in the darkness – and to YOU, there is no darkness.

Here I am to worship YOU – the One Living GOD . . .

LORD, I want YOU to invade more and more and more areas of my life.

Challenging me, changing me.

Making me that new creation in CHRIST.

Ever since Rick died, the verse that says, “old things are passed away, behold all things have become new” has had a deeper, stronger, more vibrant and real meaning to me.

My life that was – and my life that is now.

Vastly and entirely different.

So much so that little sameness remains.

And yet, how hard to let go of what was, and to embrace what is now.

LORD, I do not want to resist YOUR Work in me, or in my life.

I do not want to cling to the old ways – those are behind me; they aren’t coming back.

How do I find my security in YOU alone?

When my humanity cries out so loud, when the foot of my humanity stomps for something I can see, I can hear, I can hold on to, I can know.

It’s easier to stay within the boundaries my life has built.

How do I reach beyond what I know?

How do I go where I don’t know?

How do I do what feels like I can’t?

GOD, help me please – to live this day.

Not yesterday.

Not tomorrow.

But TODAY.

Live it to the fullest – TODAY.

Open my eyes that I may see and find all that YOU have prepared for me – in this day.

: Matthew 28:5-7 – But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus Who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead, and behold He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see Him. See, I have told you.”

  • Thank YOU GOD!!!!!

: II Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

  • Very real words for the widow that I am.

I took this picture early in the morning of June 1, 2024.

The camera did not do justice to the vibrant colors.

WOW was all I could say . . .
