Being still and quiet . . .

Published on 15 June 2024 at 09:42

LORD, it’s not always easy to thank YOU on these quiet and alone days.

When I am not invited, nor included, in the activities and events of others.

And it’s not easy when the limitations of my body scream in rage against movement or activity.

LORD, help me to Thank YOU for these quiet and still times – to pray and to seek YOU.

What would YOU have me do in these times?

How best can I honor and serve YOU when I must be still and quiet?

LORD, help me to embrace these quiet moments – Trusting YOU with all my heart.

Leaning not on my own understanding.

In all my ways, acknowledging YOU.

YOU will order my steps and direct my paths.

When YOU want me to be busy – YOU will make it happen.

Until then . . .

: Zechariah 2:13 – Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling.

  • LORD, help me be quiet. YOU alone know how hard it is – sometimes.

: Isaiah 30:15 – For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling.

  • LORD, please help me be willing. To return and rest. To be quiet and trust. Even when I am afraid. Even if the healing doesn’t come. YOU are still GOD, YOU are still good.

: II Corinthians 12:9 – But He said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for My Power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the Power of Christ may rest upon me.

  • Thank YOU GOD for YOUR Grace. Amazing Grace. May YOUR Grace, and YOUR Power, rest upon me.

In JESUS’ NAME i ask . . .
