My Faults and Flaws

LORD, it’s easy to see my faults and my flaws.

And it is such a simple thing to judge myself – as to whether I am worthy of YOUR Love and care or not.

Knowing that I am never worthy – but there are times I feel more like YOUR child and times less.

Thank YOU for never casting me away from YOUR Presence.

Thank YOU for not taking YOUR SPIRIT from me.

Even when I am a spoiled brat of a child.

It’s a vortex of thoughts and emotions when I think of doing better and being better – that I need to fix this or that.

And it’s a downward spiral when I try so hard but get overwhelmed so quickly – and I fizzle.

LORD, help me to focus on YOU . . .

Just to praise YOU for Who YOU are . . .

And to Thank YOU for who YOU have made me to be.

YOURS . . .

: Ephesians 2:4-10 – But God, being rich in Mercy, because of the great Love with which He Loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by Grace you have been saved – and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His Grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by Grace you have been saved through Faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

  • LORD, YOU say I am YOURS . . . not because of who I am – but because of all YOU have done. Not because of anything I have done – but because of Who YOU are . . .

: Hebrews 3:1-2 – Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Who was Faithful to Him Who appointed Him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God’s house.

  • LORD, help me keep my eyes on JESUS . . .

: Psalm 34:5 – Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

  • LORD, for YOUR Glory . . .
