Wonderings

LORD, I find myself wondering a lot about others – their walk with YOU.

Not in a judgement way.

Not even meaning it in a comparison way.

Just wondering.

I hear things they say, that I get in trouble for 😉

I see them do things that I get my hand slapped, or my butt spanked for doing 😉

I hear them talk about YOU, about believing and trusting, about walking and talking with YOU.

But what I see and hear doesn’t always match up to what is right for me.

YOU are the SAME – yesterday, today and forever.

YOU never change.

BUT GOD, why are some allowed different ways?

It’s not that I think YOU Love some more than others.

It’s not that I think YOU are partial or show favoritism, either.

Is this what YOU mean when YOU say, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge the Lord. The Lord will direct my paths and order my steps.”

All I can do is trust in YOU, LORD.

When I don’t understand.

When things don’t make sense to me.

I miss having these conversations with Rick.

He had a unique perspective on it all.

And try as hard as I can, I cannot remember everything he said.

Sigh.

I miss those conversations something awful!

So many voices in this life clamor for my attention.

How do I listen to hear YOURS above them all?

How do I know it is YOUR Voice that I hear, that I listen to, that I follow?

LORD, how do I act justly?

How do I love Mercy?

How do I walk humbly with YOU?

Please, teach me YOUR Ways.

: John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; My Peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

  • LORD, I want YOUR Peace. Show me how to receive It. Please . . .

: Ephesians 2:10 – For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

  • LORD, I am YOURS . . .

: Micah 6:8 – He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

  • LORD, teach me YOUR Ways . . . please.
