Burdens are too heavy

LORD, the burdens are heavy to my soul this morning.

My spirit cries out in anguish.

There are what appear to be storms building all around me – in my life, and in the lives of those I hold so close to my heart.

I am afraid.

LORD, when I am afraid – I trust in YOU . . . Psalm 56:3.

LORD, I trust YOU with all my heart, leaning not on my own understanding.

In all my ways, acknowledging YOU . . .

YOU will order my steps and direct my paths.

What do YOU want me to do – with every breath I take, with every move I make?

What do YOU want me to leave with YOU to do?

YOU can do anything YOU want to do.

GOD, please – do not leave me.

: I Peter 5:6-7 – Humble yourselves, therefore, under the Mighty Hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.

  • LORD, teach me how. Help me learn – without the hard lessons.

: Psalm 62:8 – Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a Refuge for us.

  • When I am afraid, LORD, I trust in YOU . . . Psalm 56:3

: I Thessalonians 5:16-18 – Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

  • LORD, help me trust and obey. It's not always easy to do these verses. My humanity gets in the way all too much!
