This humanity

LORD, my humanity is afraid.

Greatly afraid.

Not knowing what this day will be.

Not knowing how this week will go.

So many questions without answers.

All the “what-if’s” and the “if-onlies”.

I want to trust YOU – really trust YOU.

With my whole heart and being.

With my mind and my soul.

Because YOU are worthy to be trusted.

But also, because I need, and want, Peace so much!

GOD, YOU can take anything – everything – and turn it for good.

No matter whether it is meant for evil to my life, in my life, for my life.

GOD, YOU can work YOUR will and do for me like YOU did for Joseph so many years ago – “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”

My life is YOURS.

Whatever brings YOU the Glory – even if it doesn’t seem very good to me at the moment 😉

LORD, help me to concentrate on YOUR Presence – no matter where I am, what I am doing, or who I am with.

And to focus on trusting YOU – even when I am afraid.

Trusting YOU with all my heart.

Leaning not on my own understanding.

In all my ways, Acknowledging YOU.

YOU will order my steps and direct my paths.

Then, to do what is next.

That which is in front of me that needs doing.

Relaxing in YOUR Sovereignty – that YOU see, YOU hear, YOU know.

And that YOU can, will, DO.

YOU are with me.

Nothing can separate me from YOU and YOUR Love.

: Isaiah 26:3-4 – You keep him in Perfect Peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock.

  • LORD, help me please . . .

: Genesis 50:19-21 – But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. So do not fear, I will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

  • LORD, I ask to see more from YOUR Perspective than from mine.

: Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

  • Thank YOU, GOOD SHEPHERD . . . Thank YOU
