Validation

LORD, Thank YOU for not being human.

But for understanding my humanity.

As people we are paid for a job done.

Validation.

As a wife I often heard Rick say, “You did good, girl!” or any variation of those words – but all were validation.

And now, as YOURS – it’s easy to question how YOU feel towards me, especially on a stress-filled day, or when my body is so limited by pain, or when grief is weighing my heart and mind so heavy.

Yes, I have “performance anxiety”.

It’s different now, being a widow.

More alone these days than not.

Validation is seriously lacking in my life.

How do I be confident and bold without that validation?

How do I know beyond a question or doubt that what is written in these verses that I read and write, and tell to myself over and over, is for me?

LORD GOD, I believe.

I do.

BUT GOD . . .

Forgive my unbelief and help me find YOUR Way through that sludge.

Just to stay conscious of YOUR Love, YOUR Presence, YOUR direction.

And to know that YOU Love me with an everlasting, and longsuffering, LOVE.

: Jeremiah 31:2-3 – Thus says the Lord: “The people who survived the sword found Grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest, the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued My Faithfulness to you.”

  • Thank YOU GOD!!!!! For making me to find Grace in my wilderness. And for the name of my book 😉

: Isaiah 61:10 – I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for He has clothed me with the garments of Salvation; He has covered me with the Robe of Righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

  • LORD, I am YOURS . . .

: Psalm 31:14-16 – But I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your Hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors! Make Your Face shine on Your servant, save me in Your Steadfast Love!

  • YOU are my GOD . . .

: Psalm 107:8 – Let them thank the Lord for His Steadfast Love, for His wondrous works to the children of man!

  • Thank YOU GOD!!!!!
