God, You didn't move . . .

LORD, I remember Rick telling the story about the older man and woman.

They got in the truck one morning, him behind the steering wheel, and her in the passenger seat – a bench seat that they sat on.

The older woman huffed and puffed a bit, with an attitude.

He looked over at her and asked what was wrong.

She said, “We never sit side by side anymore, holding hands, or your arm around me.”

He was quiet a few moments, then he said softly, “I didn’t move.”

GOD, YOU don’t move.

YOU are the Same – yesterday, today and forever.

There are times when I feel close to YOU, even my humanity can almost feel YOUR Hand holding mine, or YOUR Arm around me.

And then other times, when I feel so far from YOU.

Wondering why we aren’t close anymore.

BUT GOD, YOU don’t move.

Never once have YOU moved.

FATHER, forgive me.

GOD, I want to be close again.

Walking with YOU.

Talking with YOU.

Knowing YOUR Presence – so real, even to my humanity.

Life gets in the way, and I must go with the duties and chores of the day.

BUT still – my heart cries out to YOU . . .

: Genesis 28:15 – Behold, I Am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have Promised you.

• LORD, when I am afraid, I trust in YOU . . .

: Romans 8:31 – What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

• LORD, I believe. Help Thou my unbelief.

: Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the Same yesterday and today and forever.

• Thank YOU GOD!!!!!

: Colossians 3:17 – And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

• LORD, please teach me HOW.
