Letting go

Published on 30 July 2024 at 07:13

LORD, I read these words this morning – “This is a time in your life when you must learn to let go: of loved ones, of possessions, of control.”

I don’t know what else to say – but, WOW.

GOD, I already feel so stripped of everyone and everything.

I feel so empty, and naked.

Alone.

Afraid.

Not sure what to do, where to go, what to say, even what to think or feel.

Lost.

Is there any other word for all of this?

HOW do I rest in YOUR Presence?

Only in YOU am I ok.

HOW do I bask in the Light of YOUR Love?

HOW do I let my grasping hand open up, releasing all into YOUR care?

GOD, YOU are my Anchor.

GOD, YOU are my Security.

GOD, YOU never leave me,

YOU never change.

Please, Help me when I am afraid, to trust in YOU . . .

: Psalm 89:15-16 – Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the Light of Your Face, who exult in Your Name all the day and in Your Righteousness are exalted.

  • “Festal shout”. A choice to shout in faith and anticipated victory, against all odds and despite all evidence to the contrary. It is a declaration that God is greater than the enemy and we will be victorious.
  • LORD, please help me know the festal shout!

: Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

  • Thank YOU GOD!!!!!

: Isaiah 41:13 – For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I Who say to you, “Fear not, I am the One Who helps you.”

  • Oh how I needed this reminder today!
